Introduction to the Creator Studio

The Creator Studio is a dedicated space for Creators to manage the submission of their templates for publication on the Template Store. The Creator Studio resides in the Dashboard and is only accessible to approved Creators. In this space you can see all exisiting templates and their status, at a glance. This is also where you will complete the steps to submit a template for review, outlined below.

To start a new template, follow the steps in our tutorial here: 'How to start a new template'.

Template Submission Form

There are five (5) steps to complete your submission for template review.

  1. Install SquareKicker
  2. Export your template from Squarespace to the submission form
  3. Complete template details for listing on the Store
  4. Complete Creator Bio (including profile image, logo, and business details)
  5. Set up a Stripe Express account to track sales and upcoming payouts

Some steps may populate from other parts of the site. All steps must be completed before you can submit your template for review.

Pricing

In step 3, you will be asked to choose an appropriate price tier for you template. Please read the information on SquareKicker Templates pricing tiers.

Creator Bio

You will see that the Creator Bio also has its own page in the Dashboard (navigate to the 'Bio' page nestled in the Creator menu). If you complete your Bio on this page, it will populate the Bio section of the Template Submission form.

Sales through Stripe Express

As a New Zealand operated business we use Stripe as our payment gateway. In the Template Submission form you will need to set up your Stripe Express account so that you can access your sales information and manage your payout details. Once this is set up, you can continue to track your sales through a dedicated page on the Dashboard (navigate to the 'Sales' page nestled in the Creator menu).

Read detailed information about setting up Stripe Express.

Updates and edits

Currently, if you wish to make updates or edits to either the Creator Bio or any of the details in your Template Submission form, or the template itself, after you have submitted it for review you will need to contact SquareKicker Creator Support.

Template Status

You will see a status assigned to each template in the Creator Studio.

  • Draft
  • Pending
  • Revisions
  • Approved
  • Published
  • Unpublished

Upon submission, your template will move from being in a draft state, to pending. A status of pending means that your template has been received by SquareKicker and is being reviewed according to our Template Guidelines. Following this, it will either have a state of Revisions or Approved. We'll be in contact if revisions have been requested on your template. The status will change to Published when it is listed on the Store for purchase - congratulations!
