Why have my SquareKicker designs disappeared?

Let's help you get your SquareKicker designs back

Common causes and their solutions.

  • Refresh your Squarespace website in admin mode.

  • Free Trial has expired

  • Squarespace Business Plan or higher required

  • Broken code

  • Multiple users or tabs overwriting change.

Refresh your Squarespace website in admin mode

Try refreshing your Squarespace website in admin mode. This will re-build your entire list of changes and update your websites custom code.

Free Trial has expired

Once your trial has expired, your SquareKicker changes will disappear and the SquareKicker extension will be disabled. If you want to continue working with SquareKicker you can do so by logging into your SquareKicker Dashboard and upgrading to any paid plan. Once you have upgraded to a SquareKicker paid plan your SquareKicker designs will return.

Squarespace Business Plan or higher required

To use SquareKicker your Squarespace website needs to be on a business plan or higher. This allows you access to the Squarespace premium features including the code injection area where SquareKicker saves your sites custom code.

NOTE: SquareKicker will work on a Squarespace Free Trial as Free Trials have access to Squarespace premium features. These features are removed when a user upgrades from a Squarespace Free Trial to a Squarespace Personal Plan.

Broken code

It's possible for the SquareKicker code to brake if part of it is removed or additional custom code is added in the wrong location.

To fix broken code in your code injection area, go to the SquareKicker icon in the top right corner of your website while in Squarespace admin mode then select the Account tab and click Refresh.

TIP: When you paste custom code into the site code injection area it is best practice to paste this above the SquareKicker code to prevent any issues.

Multiple users or tabs overwriting changes

If your website has been worked on by multiple users logged in at the same time it's possible one user has saved their work and in the process overwritten yours. Similarly, if multiple Squarespace tabs are open and a tab containing an old version is saved before closing will overwrite design changes in any newer tabs.
