Overview
When you save a section in Squarespace that includes SquareKicker customizations, those customizations will automatically be preserved and saved along with the section layout. This means you can reuse your custom-designed sections across multiple pages while keeping all your SquareKicker edits intact. To do this, you need an active SquareKicker subscription. Read on for more information about this process.

Subscription Requirements
For Saving Sections
You can save sections with SquareKicker customizations on any active subscription:
- Free Trial
- Basic (deprecated)
- Pro (deprecated)
- Solo
- 30 Day Solo
- Designer
- Agency
For Using Saved Sections
Within the same website: You can use saved sections with SquareKicker customizations on active Personal plans within the same website:
- Free Trial
- Basic (deprecated)
- Pro (deprecated)
- Solo
- 30 Day Solo
Across different websites in your account: To use saved sections with SquareKicker customizations across different sites in your account, you need both:
- Squarespace Circle membership - to save sections to your account and use them on any version 7.1 site where you have editing permissions
- An active SquareKicker Professional Plan (Designer or Agency plan) - to preserve SquareKicker customizations when using saved sections across sites
What happens without the right plan: If you try to use a saved section with SquareKicker customizations across different sites without a Professional plan, you'll see a notification that "SquareKicker customizations were not applied." The section will still be added to your page, but without the SquareKicker edits. You can upgrade to use the section and include the SK customizations.
Important Limitations
Active Subscription Required
You need an active subscription to preserve SquareKicker customizations when using saved sections, regardless of your plan level.
Template Sections
You cannot save SquareKicker Template sections to use across your account. If you try to use a saved section from a SK Template, the SquareKicker customizations will not be reproduced and you'll get a notification alerting you to this. You can of course use them within the same website. This tutorial on how to access and use the pre-designed sections in your template might also be useful to you.
General Saved Section Limitations
Remember that all standard Squarespace saved section limitations still apply:
- Maximum of 50 saved sections per site (or 250 sections to your account for Circle members)
- Saved sections aren't linked to the original - changes to the original won't update saved versions
- Some settings like form storage connections won't carry over
- Collection page sections cannot be saved
