Will SquareKicker break if Squarespace update their code?
Like any custom code, there are some vulnerabilities if Squarespace make changes but SquareKicker has taken significant steps to ensure Squarespace updates have minimal impact on your SquareKicker generated code.
SquareKicker has its own UI (User Interface) meaning it is not dependent on Squarespace’s UI which is where most code changes and updates happen. This makes SquareKicker highly resilient to Squarespace updates.
In addition, when a new SquareKicker tool is in development, we think about the simplest way to target the elements on a website to mitigate any potential risk. This means when a bug is picked up, we can work a fix and roll out updates directly to your website.
In the case of Squarespace making changes to exisiting blocks, SquareKicker is able to quickly respond with updates to our code which are automatically pushed to any active subscription. Many times these will occur before an issue is ever noticed by the user.
