Can I transfer a website to my client? (transferring ownership)

How to initiate a transfer from your Dashboard, if you're the current website owner

  1. From your Dashboard, open the dropdown menu located to the right on the website you want to transfer.
     
  2. Select Transfer → Transfer Ownership

3. Enter the Name and Email Address of the person you want to transfer the website to in the pop-up modal (if they don't have a SquareKicker account, they can make one at the time of receiving the website). 
 

4. Click Transfer Ownership. If you need to amend this at any time before they receive the website, you can do so from the Transfer section in the Dashboard.
 

5. An email invitation will be sent to them, where they can then accept the website.
 

6. You can track the transfer status in the Transfer section, through the same dropdown menu. You can also:

  • Resend Transfer Email if needed, which will send the same email to the same person.
     
  • Cancel Transfer to stop the transfer or send it to a different email address. When you click Cancel, the original link sent to the receiver is revoked. You can then initiate a transfer to a different email address if needed.

7. Once the recipient has accepted your transfer request, you will receive an email notifying you of the transfer confirmation. You don't need to do anything else.
